When using the Delta1010 with pro tools 7.4, I've noticed that the maximum setting for the buffer is 1024. I know that both pro tools m-powered and the Delta1010 card are capable of buffer settings of 2048. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why this would be or if anyone else has...

you can lay the drum down on a carpet to mute the opposite head.

I actually went back to using the Beta 52 since it doesnt have this noise. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere else to host a wav file since the mp3 really isnt that great of a representation anyway.

I've been noticing a chattering noise on my close mic (D6) for the bass drum lately. It sounds almost as if when you bury the beater into the head and it vibrates, although I always let the beater come back and never bury it into the head. I'm going to try the beta52 and see if it helps if not...

Yeah, I wanted to leave the mix as close to natural as possible. One concern I had was it sounds slightly cloudy, and was wondering if anything else stuck out to anyone. Thanks.

I love the sound of the toms. What kind of drums are they? Sizes? Heads?(batter and resonant) I'm not sure I like the tone of the bass drum. The attack of it seems emphasized at a wierd frequency. Seems maybe too mid heavy.

I use a 20" K Custom Ride. I love the sound of this ride.

The best placement I've found for the D6 is just inside the hole in the resonant head facing straight forward. Don't angle the mic at the beater. With this placement I get a nice punchy bass drum sound, not too clicky.

An idea for the snare would be to get one of those pads that you strap on your knee and slap a cheap trigger on to that. Not sure how you would do the rest of the kit though.
