Yeah, I usually do overdubs whe tracking vocals, but I've never done the true stereo thing. At least not with just vocals. Overdubs souind great though. I don't know if you should do it all the time, that's up to you.

Is it a line/mic issue? Sounds like it might be. You should remedy the problem. Don't just go in direct and call it quits, you should be able to record teh cab too.

Yeah, if you have a fully parametric EQ, then crank up the gain, dail in the freq, then cut it out. It shouldn't interfere with your sound of the acoustic that much.

424's are great beginners tools. And a lot of fun too. I had one. Just read the manual over and over. At the bus stop, at home.....you'll eventually learn what you want to know. I know that's not the most enlightening info, but that's teh fun of it.

Some pots are sealed. If that's teh case, then you'll have to just use the twist method. If it's an open pot, then squirt some cleaner in there and twist it back and forth for 15 times or so. You can get some at your local electronics supply store. My guitar has teh same problem.
