Yeah the gain control is ugly when you can't afford a fancy rotary switch. So here's one to compromise. Now I have a minimum gain around 30dB and a range switch at the 40dB mark. This should expand the linearity for setting higher gains.

Since the gain is going to be 30dB at...
Here is what I came up with for the full version including the Lo-cut filter.
INA Preamp Schematic 37Kb
Nothing original here just stuff copied from datasheets mostly. Grabbed the pad circuit from a schematic of my Toa console. The preamp is intended only for dynamic mics and I will very...
Since I am close to having a home again I ordered some IC samples from TI and would like eventually to make a pre using the INA217 that came in my shipment. I also ordered an OPA552 along with it because I plan to use a transformer coupled line driver and wasn't sure if the INA217 could directly...
Yes they put love into this box when they designed it. Just looking at the schematics it is plain that they not only knew their shit but tried very hard not to cut corners where it counts.
NICE work! I think the only thing missing is the cup holders
I'll be following this thread with much interest. I love seeing old consoles being given new life.
And yes how do the channels sound? Record clips if at all possible please.
That's really cool! Do you have pictures of this by any chance? Would love to see it. I also had a few input modules like those that I bought at a local shop for a buck eack but I sold them on Ebay. I also had a handful of of the TM-200 input trannies which I traded for vacuum tubes.
The Ct-35...
It may have been sonic Albert a few years back. Maybe somebody else. My memory isn't as good as it was.
I bought the thing. It sat in my rack. It went into storage with the rest of my gear when things went south. But now I have a new respect and admiration for this box. Here is why.
On the...
Yeah I know it has been a few years....
But hey, life's a bitch then you die.
But the bitch gave me back my Bogen after all this time and now I finally get to play with it.
Here are samples of the CT-35 with an Art MPA Pro II for comparison.

Hey kojdogg
I have been on contact with our mutual friend. Please don't worry things are going to be hashed out. Life has turned some wicked tides on me but I am not dead and I am not forgetting my responsibilities.
More good news. I have finally started getting paid from my new job. Eating real food again is kicking my ass
I have been hunting for a new abode near my work. Nothing definite yet but there is much available so it's a matter of sifting through and separating the wheat from the chaff...
You guessed it bro. :)
I use them too for my PCBs. In fact I have a PCB designed for the above schematic in ExpressPcb. Send me an IM if you would like the .pcb file for the LFO. The PCB is designed to take advantage of their "economy" three piece deal :D
I've been on the SDIY list since 1997 and I really don't have the words to express what a great bunch of people they are and how enormous their combined expertise is. Just a wealth of info and the best resource I know of for the subject matter. It is true that their are some serious doob smoking...
I employed the LME49860 in my RX-7 on the bus modules and was very happy with their performance. Newark had a special on them last spring and I was able to get them for $3 and change in the single quantities. They sold out really fast ;)
If you are looking for a more affordable device with...
