    Monkey Man (Rolling Stones cover)

Damn that's good, one of my favorite songs ever so maybe biased, but your vocal is insane - you have that timbre I would kill for. The drums blew me away too, great sounds. Piano, slide and bass good also. The only thing I didn't care for was the rhythm sound, especially in the intro, I always...

A start to my first mix!

That's a really cool song, I love the sound and your guitar part is hot. The one thing that jumped out was the "so take me home" parts, they didn't sound in the mix, may need lowering, distance or a little of both. There were places I thought the kick was getting lost, but listening closer it...

    lover

The guy in the bongo video was cool, so passionate and dead right on the improvement! I love your track for it's uniqueness and originality, I can't get enough of that. I also really like your use of the guitar in this song, added interest sonically and rhythmically. Not a big fan of the vocal...

    Darker Days.

Tight and melodic, great guitar and vocal harmonies! Kind of reminiscent of some of The Eagles edgier and darker stuff. I like the lyrics too, french kissing the floor, lol. I always enjoy guitar play and the little licks that pop out at just the right time, like the bend-down into the chorus, nice.

So ... then I took on "Rocket Man"

Really cool, the sound of your voice is emotive and I like it, I would play with EQ on it for a little more tonal balance, seems a little heavy in the middle. Sounds like a flanger on the vocal, is the reverb modulated? You really express the feel in your performance well, with your voice and...

"Mama, I'm Coming Home" with RAMI on vocals

Take 2 with a vengeance, this one done with authority and sounds great. It also sounded to have much more top and bottom end, which I was missing in the first - nice tonal balance and a vast improvement, impressive work.

"Mama, I'm Coming Home" with RAMI on vocals

Hey guys, nice work! The instrument sounds are on the money, nice guitar work Schwarz~! I liked Rami's vocal, I think there was one phrasing point for me but wtf, it was a good Ozzy take. I would have liked more presence in the bass, but more than that I felt the cymbals were often lost. I can't...

    Alive- Demo

That's a very well written song and a nice arrangement. I don't think the drum sounds fit with the rest though, the snare actually sounds a little Phil Spectorish to me and the kick like a muffled heartbeat while the rest of the mix is less "effected". I thought I heard pitch correction dialed...

"Paranoid Android" - Calimoose on vocals.

I realize I'm late to the party, but I wanted to compliment you on your work here, VERY nice. I have this album and yet rarely have listened to it, so I cannot comment on accuracy. I was impressed with the texture, the sound of the driven guitars are so satisfying when they arrive and the leaden...

voodoo child (slight return) just for fun

Jimi, I loved this and had to listen several times, your timing between the vocal and guitar combustions put this piece on the edge where it belongs. Intro problems aside, I don't mind a weak intro if it's short because when the juice kicks in I feel sucker-punched, I personally appreciated the...

Jihad Joe - An original that might get me beheaded

So TIGHT as always! Do you compress the drum hits into those tight stabs or is there something more you do that makes them so present without stepping on anything? I really like that tom sound that hits you in the gut, same for your guitar. Like Jimi, I loved the allah-la-la-la, too funny...

    Feedback on lyrics please..

I really like the song and lyrics, but, holy U2 clone Batman. Could just be me, but if if I was this close to someone else's signature sound I'd look in a new direction. That says nothing about the music or lyrics, more so the arrangement and sounds. Just IMO, I prefer things to sound unique and...

I found this thread searching for Eventide because I just got Ultrachannel as well and wanted to share. But, since I'm here, I am a C++ programmer and just finished a CS degree, I have been interested in audio programming also and can recommend 2 books highly. 1. Designing Audio Effect...

Steppin' Out -- Newest WIP. First song done in Sonar X3

What a great song, lots of drive and energy. I like the horns quite a bit, the way they accent and push. The drums and vocals I like as well, particularly where you have your vocals sit in the mix, very clear and a nice timbre. The guitar sound is cool and blends well with the rest. The rhythm...
