thats what scares me about digital...no knobs! Who the hell wants to go through pages of instructions and layers on menus to perform a simple function. Until the manufactures get it right and install a simple knob function I'll stay away from digital. :mad:

garage studio yes, you will have to heat it and control the humidity especially in summer. Excess humidity will RUIN you equipment. I heat my small garage-end studio with a oil-filled electric heater and use a portable de-humidifier to control humidity. ;)

Can anyone recomend a good head de-mag for my tascam mk4 porta studio? :confused:

mk111 I have had a mk111 for about two years in my home studio. It works great and the instruction book is easy to understand. The 4 track simulationus recording feature is great for a small band. You wont be disappointed. ;)

tascam digital unit saw it in musicians friend last week. how many tracks can you record at once? its sounds like the perfect bridge to digital recording since im digitally challenged! :o

eq on mkii i always record with the eq flat, then fiddle with it on playback until im happy with the sound, then mix down
