I use The Box and recall sheets for my 500 series gear. For my hardware (1176, a couple LA2A, etc) I put the plugin set like the hardware as a placeholder for recalls:P

There's a great book called MIDI for the Professional. I bought it for a class way back in the 1990s. I've used it as a reference ever since. I'm sure it can be had for a few dollars used.

They have been for a long time. Chet Atkins had signature Gretsch strings. Les Paul, Joe Perry, and Ace Frehley have all had Gibson strings over the years.

I liked the 11 more than my old AxeFX. YMMV
