Just as the title says I may be interested in purchasing an MXL 990 within the next week. I need a simple XLR mic for podcasting and the 990 fits the bill. If someone has one that they'd be willing to sell me at a fairly low price, let me know, and I will definitely consider it.
Not 100% sure...
I'm selling the following pedals. Either pay the price stated or make a better offer. I'm willing to negotiate. All pedals come with velcro on the bottom and a patch cable.
:) I will lower prices if you buy 2 or more pedals at the same time :)

The title says it all. I'm looking to purchase one used, or preferably trade for one. I can trade the following pedals, and will include a patch cable with all of them:
Original Crybaby Wah
Digitech Bad Monkey
Danelectro Tuna Melt
Rocktron Tsunami Chorus
Matrix Chromatic Stomp Tuner (rare, so...
Can i use a physical console to control a software mixer?
Like, if I were using, say, Reason 3.0, could I hook up a mixing console and control the digital mixer in Reason with the physical console?
That way I could record and then mix physically in the software.
OK, so now that I've thought through it, I've set myself a budget. I've already got a 20" Intel iMac with 2GB of RAM and all the musical instruments/mics, so I need to get some gear.
I'm going to want to be able to record a 4-5 piece band, as well as some acoustic tracks, so what should I buy...
How do all of you guys record?
For example, do you go everything into a mixer and then directly into a computer, editing everything as one track?
Or do you go directly into an interface and then mix each individual track separately?
Basically, what's your chain and how does everything work in...
I have a smallish room, and it needs to function as both a room and a studio. Here's an image. The room is 11' x 11' approximately.
The magenta is the door
The teal is the window
The grey is the closet
The yellow is my bookshelf
The green is my endtable
The red is my bed
The blue is my desk...
OK, so I've always wanted to get into some home recording, but never have taken the initiative, but with the purchase of a new comp, I think I will. I need some advice though on what to purchase to do what I want. As far as what I want to do, here you go:
I want to be able to spend as little...
:) Hi guys, here is my first attempt at a lyric. Please don't expect anything great! ;)
Our love is now, a pebble too far thrown
Relationship, like a sandy beach windblown
We’re hanging on, but we are slipping, already torn but still are ripping
I’ll wait until the dawn, but something tells...
Here's one way that works.
Once your band has enough material and has practiced enough, go see if there's a local dollar theater in your area. If there is, rent out the seats and charge 3-5 bucks a seat. Tell everyone you can or place an ad in the paper.
It works! :D
Well, I just joined the forum and I'm completely new to recording, so could you tell me some things I should do? I already have all of the instruments (guitar, keyboards, drums) and computer/recording software.
Sorry for being so general :o
