Been doing this for some years now too. It's great to know how your pedals work, and to save some money in the process!

Personally, i like to think in the opposite direction when it comes to amp sims (or real amps, for that matter). I'll rather have a few GOOD sounding amps and cabs, which i know inside out, instead of a bunch of "options", which i don't know how to get the best out of. I have Guitar Rig 4, and...
As EtherealEntity says, you can do it yourself if you know what you're doing. :)
Most consumer computer which is not built for audio-specific purposes (HP, Acer etc.) works great for, erhh, consumers. But most of the crap inside is poor quality parts (poor as in poor performance) which only...
If the new recordings (after you acquired the Baby Blue) sounds the same as the old recordings with the built in Macmic, may i suggest that you should check your DAWs / interface / whatevers connections inside the Mac? See if you still have the macs built in mic selected as recording device...
I've built several amps the last year. It's a very addictive hobby!
The AX84 kits are very good for beginners (i myself started out with the HiOctane, which is decent). Most of my builds are either from or based of the kits at http://ceriatone.com/. Huge selection, and good service.
But my...
Who needs those big chunky 4x12"s??
http://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/index.php/cat/c380_TTC-Guitar-Cabinets.html
They make very good cabinets, and you can put whatever you want in them. No 4x12"s though. Just a suggestion! :)
I've been following this thread for some time now, great work! You've put many hours into making this guitar, and i'm glad you're sharing the progress with the rest of us. Looking forward to the finished project!
I'm building an SG to actually, allthough i get the parts made by Warmoth, so it's...
I'm into programming drums at the moment, and need some advice. I'm moving to a different city to study, and i have no place for my drums, unfortunately.
First, i love Beatcraft for it's easy layout and the possibility to make patterns, play them and store them, naming them for easy access...
1. 18 Watt Lite (Stripped down clone of a Marshall 1974x) in a 12" combo cab, with an Warehouse et65 guitar speaker.
2. Ceriatone Marshall 1987 Lead clone, butt ugly DIY 2x12" cab also with Warehouse speakers.
3. Trace Elliot 6 series bass head in a 15" combo cab, Eminence Legend speaker...
Computers and parts are evolving at a rediculous speed nowadays.
I use an Intel Core 2 Duo at 3,16 Ghz and 4Gb ram (only 3 or so works in XP) with an MOTU 8Pre interface. Works for most applications. In fact, running several synths at the same time never caused me any trouble. I used to be an...
I use a tablature software called Guitar Pro, in which you can map everything from guitars, synths, drums etc. to midi, then export as midi files. It takes time, but i recommend it!
Don't have much to say, other than it's a great mix! Much better than i've ever done. :P
Though i do agree about the crash being a bit "fizzy", sort of. It doesn't seem to do much in the mix.
Great song! :)
