That's what I ended up doing. After I posted this, I messed around with it for a bit, and go the results I wanted to.
I guess my post was stupid, hence it being in the "newbies" section. But I got it. Thanks though!
Okay, so I've been trying to figure this out for half an hour, and I'm hopelessly new to this. Maybe someone can help me. I'm trying to get my Delta 1010 (with breakout box, not the LT) to record each buss onto it's own track, without having to hard pan everything.
My board's got 8 busses, and...
I'm game to try anything possible. I'll most likely hook up any speakers I have to my mixer, through a switch. Just to test every medium.
I guess I'll just go to a store, and say "gimme whatever you got, that isn't a Soundblaster"
Thanks guys.
It is not common practice to playback your mix through as many venues as possible? ie. stereo, computer speakers, car, mp3 player. To get the best mix, so that anyone listening to it will get a decent sound?
If I just mix it, and play it through my 1010, it might sound great. But on a less...
I suppose you're right. But I'm anti-Soundblaster. I used to work for Creative, and their products really are crap.
I'm just curious if there's anything comparable to it, that people are using, is all.
Right, I could do that using the professional soundcard. That's a given.
But I want to monitor using something basic that normal joe schmo's will be using. So that I can make sure it sounds good on an average computer, rather than something specific to recording.
Know what I mean?
hey guys,
I recently bought a Delta1010, and installed it. Just added my monitors (Fostex PM1). I disabled the crappy soundcard on my motherboard, but am considering getting something better than crap, but not huge bucks to playback my mix through computer speakers, just to test it. (Will...
Hey guys, I'm putting together a moderate home set up, and I'm at the point where I need to buy monitors.
I was looking at the Tapco S8, but can't find a retailer that's got them in stock to take a listen, and can't find many reviews on the net for 'em.
Anyone suggest something in the $500...
I tried them when I was like 16 or 17, and I wanted to "beat the shit out of my drums as loud as I can", like everyone that age does.
After a few months of playing them, I realized they were spending more time in my stick bag than not. I realized also, that I bought a $30 pair of drumsticks...
Truth is, there's no way to 100% protect a CD. Anything that can be put ON a CD to stop it from being copied, can just as easily be taken OFF the CD, if the person trying to take it off there knows what they're doing.
Well, technically it's $449.00, though I had a $50 gift certificate for a birthday gift I'd forgotten about. So I used that.
Plus, I bought it through my own MF affiliate program, so I saved $22.50 that way too. So, all in all, it end up costing me $387.50, which from what I've read, is well...
Been a while since I posted on this board, glad to be back. I just ordered a Delta 1010 from Musicians Friend this morning, and am psyched to be getting it. Any one else have one, and can offer some reviews on it? From what I've read, it's a good piece of gear for the money. I'm not going...
I bet he wants to record "hip hop", too.
On behalf of the listening world, please don't record anything. My ears have heard enough crap in my lifetime, I don't need to hear your song about "bitches", "hoes", and "thug life". Thanks.
