Please comment and advice how to improve my vocal ..

The only thing I heard was some strain on the highest notes, but you're a good singer, with a good voice, just remember to sing it with feeling, otherwise, practice your scales so that the transition into the higher regesters is nice and smooth.

    Momma Don't Worry

Very nice tune Bob, the vocals are good, it has a nice lively feel, and a fun flavor. The snare isn't too loud for me, it just sounds electronic, and therefore should probably be pushed back a little, but it'll depend on the speakers also. It appears that Mamma songs could be your thing, this...

Mixing tips I have heard, and are they good?

Listening to your mix in mono isn't as necessary these days, who the hell listens in mono anymore? folks used to have transistor radois that were mono, but todays listener is likely listening on an iPod or with headphones. Sometimes using the same reverb on different instruments, or singers...

Does anyone know anything about this guitar?

I'm thinking Hohner didn't make the guitar, it's common practice to have a company like Samick, make your product for you, then put your name on it, Fender does this with thier cheap guitars, it's easier, more profitable, and most people don't have a clue. As for yours, it looks a little like a...

Still really new to mixing. Not happy with my results.

There's no right, or wrong if it sounds good, it's only wrong if you screw it up. ;) The advice givin above is spot on, always leave space for the instruments to "sit" in, if the guitars, or synths, (notorious frequency hogs), are present, roll off some of the extreme low, and highs to make...

    A Few Reverb Reviews

I use the free version of the M30, and I'm pretty happy with it, I still like the Lexicon Pantheon for transients though.

    Sympathy For the Devil.

That's a nice imitation of Jagger! Listening to my nearfield monitors the vocal is pretty much out front, through the Polks it's perfect. The woo woos could be pushed back a bit for my taste, but of course, that's pretty subjective. I don't hear the fizz on the guitars, they sound really good...

1:15 hours to mix down a 3 min song?

Sounds like you need to clean up your PC. I recommend downloading C Cleaner, it's free, then run it, you may have a fragmented HDD, and some registry errors. CCleaner - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Downloads Good luck.

    Best "belter" mic?

When you shop for you new mic, look at the specs for Maximum Input Sound Level: 149 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D. for example, the higher that number the better for your big voice. This was taken from an AT4050, not a bad mic.

I need help from someone who knows about setting compressors

I don't recommend that compressor, it's just not very good, especially for live. Just reposition the mics, and compress later.

Help with levels for big vocals...

Yeah, do that, or record it fairly low, and then use compression with settings of; Threshhold= minus10.0, Ratio= 5 to 1, Attack time= 5.0ms, Release time = 50ms, and adjust the volume after the fact, that way you're raising the volume on a clean track with no distortion, it works for me. For an...

Listen to my mix, Give me some advice please!

First, this is a nice piece, a little Taylor Swiftesque, but mostly very well done. I downloaded the file, and cut 1600hz .03 octave 5db, and added 250 hz .05 octave 3 db, and the vocal sounded clearer. The guitars are just too hot, and need attenuated to give the vocal just a little more...
