i see i got to cut trace from terminal and connect from other terminal to the case but ive seen u can also ommit the second step and just go thru 3 pin connection ? also i seen some 4.7k resistor in the middle of those 2 connections? i seen this is a source follower or something like this but i cant really get my head around how this affect the circuit or the mic performance... i seen the first mod is great for spl and self noise but source follower i dont understand... :(

sorry for such a long message but english isnt my first language and im having a lot of problems understanding some of the techy stuff i read and ive seen u are great helping out :)

btw if u know a nice preamp low noise circuit to go with the pimp mic :) id love to try and do it too!

but as i say im very novice and this is my second project i made a battery powered mic with an electret already and some phantom powered very basic circuits .. hehe and schematics are confusing sometimes when there are alternative symbols or weird ones .. like in the schematic for the unmodded ecm 8000 u posted .. i dont understand the lines over the capacitors 4 5 7 and 9 and over the diode... is that a way of saying earth ground or virtual ground or something like this??

also other doubt i got is .. the connection on the capsule for the modded one.. is it 3 way connection all the way from the capsule? or do i have to connect the edge to the other terminal? (as i dont fully understand likwitz modding fully...)

hello im really new in this forum and in electronics and circuits too!! ive been looking a lot into symbols and diagrams and i think i can build one of these ecm8000 moded ones!! (i hope it can be built from scratch i got the wm61 comin this way already i was hoping if you could help me out because as i say i am the most incompetent but have a lot of enthusiasm!!
i just sometimes dont understand what voltage are some capacitors or wattage on the resistors... and some terminology so if u had any spare time and could help me out id apreciate it a lot!!
if u can make parts list or if u know a better circuit that i can make with that capsule i realize the thread is old haha
