I'm not set on speakers this small, but he installs for many churches around the area and I guess I was going with his experience. There would also be a sub in the room. I forgot to mention that. I can hang speakers or whatever at this point, I just want it to sound good.
I'm considering building an addition to my shop. I'm planning a 22' x 30'. This would be a multipurpose building meaning I would like to put a pool table in one end and have my desk and music equipment in the other. While I understand that there is no one size fits all anything I'm asking for...
I have finally completed my studio!! I want to thank mjbphotos and all others who have posted. I tried to take everyone's advice and utilize it for my situation. I am posting some pics of the completed project to show others what can be done with a small space. While it is not perfect and must...
I am going to revive my old thread since it is dealing with the same thing. We are currently in the process of making our studio "shine" again. A little paint sometimes goes a long way. I am going to attach a better drawing of the size and layout of the room.
When I start putting this back in...
If this should have went in another forum I apoligize. I just figured that for someone who knew anything about computers it would be a quick and easy answer.
I have an older Dell E6400 running XP SP3. Intel Core 2 Duo P 8700 @ 2.53 Ghz 1.95 GB of RAM. Here is a screen shot of my audio...
I couldn't find a way to name the tracks tonight. ie bass, drums, guitar, etc. I'm sure there is a way. Could someone point me in the right direction? Merry Christmas to all.
I finally got through my first recording tonight. :thumbs up: I noticed that when listening to my guitar or vocals while recording that my output is only coming through one side. I set the "output" (in the options tab) to the 8i6 and listening through the headphones I hear input 1 in one ear...
I got the bass trap finished over the sewing area. However, the only Roxul I could come across was only 15 1/2" wide. So this made the trap only about 12" deep. Is this deep enough to justify the work for building it? I plan to make some more. Should I make them deeper? I put the drums away also...
Here is the studio room that I share with my wife who enjoys sewing. I realize this is the worst possible environment for recording, but the room serves us well for both of our hobbies and I'm going to have to make it work. When I get ready to record something I'm sure we can work out a "no...
As stated, I purchased a Focusrite 8i6 from Ebay in great visual condition and was sold to be in perfect working condition. It came with all the cables and unregistered software and was shipped in the origional box. I do not have a dedicated computer right now so I am using my laptop from work...
I have spent quite a bit of time reading on this forum about what computer to use. At first I wanted a laptop, but after reading I have changed my mind to a desktop. I somewhat wanted it to be portable, but I have an area that could be built into a small studio (9x14) so I could set up something...
Hello to everyone. I would like to try my hand at recording. I have some PA equipment but nothing that will work with a CPU so I ordered a Behringer QX1202USB. It was scheduled to arrive next Saturday, but after reading on this forum I contacted Amazon to heave it returned. Anyway, I am going...
