You should probably be removing the key bed in its entirety, turning it over, unscrewing the printed circuit board and then reinserting the cable. You probably can remove the other end of the cable to do this and reconnect when you have reassembled the rest of it.
You should download the demo - fully functioning except a couple of B flats don't work, and it times out after 20 mins.
