Well, first of all, theres no way your amp sounds like this, it is multi-tracked.
Your amp sounds like a small solid state amp. What size speakers do you have?
They have much more gain on their amp also.
Theres nothing wrong with your recording equipment or mics, its the amp and performance and...
I am listening right now, much much better so far.
As for the sound of the acoustic, I like it. sounds very natural, not muddied or effected sounding.
drum balance could use some help. Kick is nearly non-exsistant.
hi-hat is loud in comparison to the rest of the kit.
Overall, big improvement.
my only complaint is the toms sound disjointed from the rest of the kit.
they almost sound as if they were recorded at a different time.
they dont seem to have the same "room" as the rest of the kit.
Ok, here goes.
The good first
Not to bad of a song, maybe a little mellow for my personal tastes.
Arrangement not to bad.
Good singer
Heres the bad to my ears.
First accoustic is completely overbearing, and has no depth. (Read, too in your face.)
Vocals are not high enough volume.
Electric...
The things that I hear are this.
It needs to be panned much wider, you might try hard panning.
Even listening on a headset, the rythums sound right up the middle.
I would can the direct signal, record three more tracks of the rythum hard pan two of the tracks L and R, the two remaining tracks...
I dont know what kind of mains board you are using, but if it has enough aux channels, you could do your sub mixes there, and patch them out to the headphone amp.
Also, the Behringer has 2 main inputs + directs on each channel.
well, I dont know how many inputs/outputs you are needing, but the Behringer HA8000 has 10 inputs, thats 2 mains and 8 directs.
And 16 headphone outputs. Also stereo, or mono on the outputs.
you can have either of the two main inputs feed any or all of the 16 outputs, or there are 8 direct...
No problem man, its actually nice to see somoeone stand up for what they think is right and try to help a fellow musician. My hats off to you, and theres no sarcasm in that statement.
Dont get excited matt, me and true are closer pals then you can imagine.
I was only playing with her, and she knows it. It was meant to sound very sarcastic, and apparently it did.
Hey True.
Theres this really cool website called Google. I done a search there and "Viola`" there was the answer... just like magic.
I felt compelled to give the answer here.
An intro is usually short, no more than 4 measures, and may be the last part of the chorous or some other little...
One thing you can do is this.
Go to your local hardware store, get a tube of 100% clear silicone that goes into a caulking gun, and run several beads of the silicone along the length of the tank on the flat exposed surfaces. this will dampen any vibrations, its kinda like using moongels on a...
If you already own and play a Dual Rec, you will be sadly disappointed in any of the amps mentioned here I think. The peavey Valve King sounds like complete ass when beside a good amp.( yes, I have played it.)
I have very limited experience with Orange amps, so I cant really comment on them. But...
