    Rode mic = utility mic?

I have 2 microphones which I use for my recording. One is a Rode NT condensor and the other Shure SM57. I like the clarity and quality of the condensor mic better but I finds it too sensitive to background noise so I don't find it practical to use it where I'm recording at the moment. Everytime...

    "Guitar" Prince's New Song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgkZXPEysBI He plays some real wicked guitar. His message "I love you baby, but not like I love my guitar". How many of you can identify with that?

    Telecaster

The New G&L doesn't seem to sound right to me, I' aways turn to a Fender. 72 Deluxe is the one I go for.

My Soundblaster 64 PCI Just Died

While its not a great card its acceptable for what I do. Can't seem to find one anymore as they don't make it anymore. Have a SB Live! and it doesn't cut it compared to the 64PCI. Is there a good card out there that doesn't cost a bomb? Maybe at half the price of an entry level M-Audio card?

    Voice Recorders

I'm currently working on a project which requires to do some voice recording. Can anyone advise me if I should get a dedicated voice recorder or an MP3 player with recording capability. Want to know what sort of recording can I expect those devices ?

Why don't you put a "jimistone" using the same spaghetti style logo instead. A lot more creative! :-)

Who really cares about those "Teles"

For me, I choose a Tele because it has the closest feel to an acoustic guitar. When plugged it, it just sounds more gutsy than any other I've played. A strat just doesn't ring as much and feels too springy. The strat was my first and only love before I pledge my heart to the Tele. I play both...

    Pick my next guitar!!

Reverend Guitar Check out the reverend guitars. http://www.reverendguitars.com It's a bit pointy but not in the 'pointy' league of BC Rich etc. Finding double humbuckers and have to be in a Strat family is a bit difficult but the first thing that came to mind with your description is the Rocco...

My 77 Pro Reverb Love Story

You see, I put her up for sale a few weeks back due to a reason I cannot even remember. I got a buyer and after agreeing on the price and having the deal sealed, he asked me to keep it for him for a week as he is busy and couldn't come to pick her up. He even offered to give me a deposit first...

    Weird stringed things?

I have always wanted a mandolin or a lap dulcimer. Not quite weird but being a bit old fashioned, its as odd an instrument as I can think about playing.

    Information on old amps?

Its much easier to find info on Fender, Marshall or Vox old amps than for Yamaha old amps. You just have to ask around in the net for people who has the amp or those who have kept the catalogues. Try writing to Yamaha directly.

    Guitar and Amp......I need one.

Some stuff i have and recommend Old Fernandes Teles/Strats Vox Pathfinder Art Tube MP These are all cheap but quality tools for recording. If you wish to go direct, then a DG-Stomp is good. With lesser money, Behringer's V-amp. Used gears always sound better to me.

    Bought a Tacoma!

... and I feel acoustic guitars are never about a brand being better than another. After you have one, depending of how its played and treated, it develops a unique life of its own. Very pleasantly creepy! :-)
