Metal cover track, I'd love opinions

Hello there, this is not what I would call a fully-complete mix, as I have not put as much time into it as I would generally, it is a more a test of my new guitar and a little bit of practise, however I would love to hear your opinions on the current state of the mix! Because I don't have...

    Help identifying song chords. (Guitar)

Hello there, I'm usually fine with figuring out the chords of a song, but this one right here is quite troubling, I've worked out the root notes, but the other ascending/descending notes that follow each root note I am having trouble with. As mentioned in the title, I am talking about the guitar...

    Melodic/Post hardcore help

I agree that the song has a tad too much low end, and I'd say the clean guitars need to be made brighter, at the moment they lack clarity, and while I understand you want the delayed reverby sound, giving some more in terms of the high end would greatly help. One major issue I find is that the...

    Opinions on finished metal instrumental.

Hah, thank you kindly. The bass is an actual bass guitar. And I would love to have vocals for it, the only issue being that I couldn't really do it myself, vocals aren't really my strong point, and I have the idea for how I would want them to sound in my head.

Thank you very much! Haha yeah the drums aren't live, they're programmed, tried my best to make them sound as human-like as possible but alas, only so much you can do. Thank you kindly for your point on the end solo, I can see what you mean.

Hello there, I figured I'd put out my most recent creation to see what you all think of the mix. In hindsight I think the guitars are a tad too bright, but do please tell me your thoughts. https://soundcloud.com/george-harwood/arisen

Lend you ears please - Need feedback regarding this rock mix :)

Sounds rather nice. Though the mix seems rather muddy in the lower frequencies, the guitars especially seem to be taking up a large portion of low frequencies.

Mixing Project - Son of Amittai

You're going to want to raise the threshhold of the compressor from 0db remember.

Mixing Project - Son of Amittai

Don't lower the overhead too much, as it will make your cymbals lower in volume too. Also lowering both the room and overhead too much will make the kit sound very very dry, which tends to sound rather dead in my own opinion, As for compressing the drums, if you want to downwardly compress them...

Mixing Project - Son of Amittai

The drums would sound much much better if in EZdrummer, you take the 'Room' mic level and lower it a bit, it makes the drums sound a lot tighter and stops the rather hideous (in my opinion) room reverb. Also did you compress the drums at all? And is the acoustic guitar DI or miced?

    mystical dimensions, mix help

The mix is done very well from what I can hear, if I'm being very critical I would say that the synth that fades in then out at around 2:00 stands out a bit from the mix, but only a very small amount. Other than that, the mix is pretty solid. Very good use of the stereo field.

thoughts on this rough draft I'm starting?

Try to get some of the sibilance out of the vocals. I like the 'airiness' of the vocals but the S sounds are really punishing my ears at a couple of points. Nice work though.

Opinions on vocal on this collaboration

Along with the points already raised, I must say there is a noticeably broad dynamic range in her voice, it drops too quiet on several occasions, so definitely compress the vocals, and maybe get her to sing more consistently.
