Hi y'all, last night I was experimenting with my new Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge and had my acoustic guitar plugged into the 1/4 inch input and an SM57 plugged into the mic input. Then I used a mic cable to run out the back of the amp into my audio interface and recorded into Reaper from that...
I've been playing around with overdrive pedals etc with my acoustic guitar. They make it sound like an electric!
For those of you who play both, what are you getting from your electric that you can't get with your acoustic + effects pedals?
I'm looking at MIDI controllers that look like keyboards, looking at full size digital pianos for performance, and looking at control boards with customizable knobs and faders... and I'm like why not combine all these for the ultimate piece of hardware for recording and performance?

I play with D'Addario flat tops, for warm tone and less squeak
I typically fingerpick without using fingernails
When I do pick, I often enjoy using a Wedgie rubber pick.
