Well, you might just be able to use the sound recorder that comes with windows. Open yer midi file, and sound recorder; then hit record on sound recorder and play on the midi file. This will work unless you're using something like Wavesynth Midi, such as that which comes with an AWE 64. Then...

I just bought a DOD vgs50. I really love it, and it's opened a door for me to start recording audio on my pc. My question is: Can I plug a bass into it? It seems like there would be no harm in doing so, but I want to be sure before I take a chance of wrecking a $300 piece of equipment.
