    California Custom!!!

Carvin just unveiled their new "California Custom" guitar line. http://www.carvin.com/products/guitar.php?ItemNumber=CT6M It's the first carved top guitar design that the company has ever done, I must say it looks extreamely good, and the price is right for an American made axe.

    Carvin amps . . .

I have been using Carvin products since 81' and I have got to say, they are very impresive. The Holdsworth Fatboy model I bought last November is hands down the finest player I've owned. I've also had two guitar tube amps and a Cyclops bass amp which were equally impresive. For the money...

    Hollow bodies vs. solid bodies

It can be controlled to an extent, if you play with a lot of saturation at high levels of volume then it will be a bit more difficult to tame. However if your volume levels are nominal then you will have no problems, I do however find myself reaching for my hollowbody more often especially on...

les paul feed back? please help

Like Q said, post this in the guitar forum, you would get a lot more replies. It sounds to me like you're playing to loud. Causes can range from microphonic pickups to poor shielding, but I'm willing to bet that it's just a volume issue.

Gibson v. the whole damn guitar comunity (but starting with PRS)

I got this in November of last year. Paid 1,231 including case. It's a semihollow Carvin Holdsworth model. Flamed koa top, alder back and body sides, ebony board with one of the most incredible fretjobs I've seen in my 23 years of playing.

    Carvin amps . . .

Well right now she is resting, about 7 years ago I bought a Club Master 112 also 100 watt and I put in Mesa tubes and had her caibrated. But my X100 is still one of the sweetest sounding amps ever.

Oh man you have the oak version! That is beautiful. I have the same amp but Tolex covered and it's a 1981.

    Self Tuning Guitars

I doubt they will do that. I'm sure most of the profit from the $3,399 they charge you is from the instalation. Besides, what will all that routing do to the value of your guitar?

    Self Tuning Guitars

Agreed. The website states that it increases the weight by 8 oz. That system looks a lot heaver than 8 oz, each string has it's own independent motor.
