yeah it directly depends on how much ram u have I custom built this piece for everything music....I can even run hardcore plugins like magneto on Realtime.... but yeah man set up a folder called projects or somethin...then every time u track something go save all in cool edit, and then create...

the presonus tube pre I have uses the 80 KHZ filter....i always keep it on...but when EQin i dont use the hi pass filter ...it seems to devestate the bottom end...(and Hip Hop, whether u are familiar or not) is heavy on the lows .. and im almost positive they cut the hi's .... and just boosted...

set ur session up so that u can hear ur vocals while they're being recorded thru ur headphones? one time when i installed cool edit it was set-up like that , but when i lost it, I could never figure out how to get it back that way help me out

you can always undo effects...but not after u close the session and re-open it . thats why i would suggest applying ur effects in the multitrack via the FX button ....that way no changes are saved to the wave itself...and u save all the original recordings....and can go back and re-mix whenever...

isn't it pretty clear from the quote you chose that i was aware there are parametric EQ's with more then 2 bands? ...am i missing something here? basically I guess i just started the whole boosting habit trying to manipulate my mic to sound brighter when comparing with industry songs...

when u say sweep narrow and then widen ....ur talking about a technique correct? ....thats how i was taught to EQ ...by boosting a frequency so it noticeably stands out , using a hi Q and sliding until i hear nice frequencies, then I usually fix the level and widen the Q until it sounds...

I dont know the type of person u are... but if u live anything like me u probly want a pair that are durable as well as good on sound... I find i stopped payin alot for headphones because they break about once a month... but i had this really nice set of audio technica monitoring...
