    Most overrated Beatles song?

Famous beagle, I had read somewhere that the line from day in the life "he blew his mind out in a car" was about the guy who killed Lennon's mother..... but I think your right about the newspaper to be honest. The white album is one of my desert island discs.... and if i had to take one track...

    Most overrated Beatles song?

I haven't been on this forum for a while but i have started floating around again over the last couple of weeks. This topic has kind of forced me to reply...... Julia is one of the better songs from the white album. Julia was John Lennons mum who I believe got run over and killed by a car...

    resetting eq?

i use sx3 but i guess its the same. i think you can only reset back to the default and not to where you had it set last. click on the edit audio channel settings icon for the track in question (its the letter e symbol), you will then open up an audio channel settings window, in this you will...

    a question for mastering engineers

ok, this question may have been asked before, and may even be a tad stupid, but here goes. i was wondering that if you were a mastering engineer, does the genre (or even quality) of music that you are mastering have an outcome on how good a job you do? for example; if the person has a terrible...

    influential lyrics

i guess cohen and dylan will always be the masters of verse for me. but at the moment i am drawing my lyrical inspiration from poetry, and from a guy called rainer maria rilke. below is one of his poems entitled "sometimes a man stands up during supper". i cant put my finger on why it is so...

    Lyrics

i really like this mate, it has a great flow and feel to it, love the codless lock line in the first. the "for the answers never not been wrong line" bothers me 'cause my brain is trying to figure out does this mean right or wrong, it just confuses me with all the negatives in it. the second...

    Recording vocals with EV dynamics?

i own an ev n/d767 and think that its a good mic to start with, especially on vocals. also its a good sturdy build and you could probably knock nails in with the thing, which is useful if like me you have the ocassional drunk mishap.

A flaw in our songwriting process...

not the genre i would usually listen to but i think i can say nice stuff. it doesn't really sound that complex to be honest, in fact it doesn't seem that different from a lot of the stuff ive heard coming from that area of music. im not trying to suggest that you sound like everyone else, but...
