The title says it all. This weekend I replaced my Tascam 424 mkiii with the firewire Multimix. I was a little worried given the age of my computer, but it performed like a champ. This weekend I had 8 channels of audio running into the laptop with no problems at all. I think it sounds great...

When I power on the unit, the mixer section always works, but the tape section either doesn't come on at all, comes on with random freakouts on the display, or works fine. Tascam support says that I probably have a loose ground. Is this something I can easily fix myself or do I need to track...

Why does everyone seem to hate these mics? Picked up a pair for $99 each last week, and, with the gain up, they sound like what my drums sound like in the room. They seem nicely transparent to my ears. Am I missing something?

Since there isn't a dedicated Yamaha forum, and the manual seems unclear on this point, can anyone tell me if the MT100II can record on more than one track at a time? Or is it one track only? Thanks.
