So I found this very old looking dynamic mic at the bottom of a tote recently, I've attached some pictures to help. Plugged it into my interface, no signal unless I flipped the on/off switch, then I'd get a very quiet click. I cranked the gain all the way up on my interface and was able to hear...
Hey all, I enjoy putting together drum covers and trying to get my sound as close to the original as possible. I saw Def Leppard in concert a week or so ago so I wanted to try covering one of their new songs I heard.
The original audio has had the drums removed via Moises.ai software, so all...
So I want to build my own acoustic panels using Mineral wool like Rockwool. I've come across some people claiming that these products still are made up of the inorganic glass fibers that you can inhale (just like asbestos). Is there an alternative? I don't know if I'd be comfortable building...
Okay, for example, right now I'm recording drums with an 8-channel interface. I'll peruse the internet as one does, and I'll come across semi-pros and such who are able to stick mics everywhere on the kit, two overheads, a stereo room, close mics on 6 toms, two on the snare, etc... I have yet to...
Mostly seeking opinions, I've never used a mac and do all my work now on a rather high end Windows machine. I know a guy who swears by Apple for music production (but he uses Garage Band). For me, I'm familiar with Windows, I like the affordability. DAWs and stuff I feel are comparable between...
Got some stuff for Christmas. I'm a drummer, so I recorded a play along to a (pretty low quality) drumless backing track -- Rock With You -- to be specific. Looking for thoughts, opinions, advice on the drum sound and the mix in general. The backing track had to be downloaded from Youtube and...
I like it. I was never huge into stuff with super laid back timing, I don't know, I grew up being drilled that everything had to be perfectly on the beat all the time and I can't really let go of that. That's my problem though, don't change a thing.
Suuuuper funky.
For my taste, I think the bass and keys should be way louder. The echo on the flute in the beginning was a bit much for me, it felt like it was tripping over itself. Other than that maybe pan some stuff around? This is mostly personal preference, I love the drum and sax.
-- UPDATE --
I switched to using the AISIO drivers and the track/input selection is working. Now I can't choose headphones as my default output device for my Main out, the option is grayed out in the device tab of preferences. Any ideas?
Hey guys! Just got the Behringer UMC1820 this morning.
In Cakewalk, I have the correct drivers downloaded, but I can only get signal if I have audio track 1 set to (IN 1-8 R) and track 2 set to (IN 1-8 L). No signal comes in from any of the other 6 inputs. When I click on the dropdown to...
