    Behringer ADA8000 & dbx 1074 - Ideal Drum Rack?

Another thing, The pres in that allen & heath mixer are likely to be FAR better than the pres in the behringer.

    Ska/Punk/2-tone

So i've got some updated mixes posted up in the same location. I went ahead and doubled the guitar and delayed one track a tiny bit and panned it over to the right.

Hey thanks for the advice man, and for your interest as well. I'll be sure to keep you posted. To give you better insight on the process we used, This was all recorded live in our practice space. Our singer through his normal vocal mic, a pair of MXL 603's in a recorderman setup over the...

    Ska/Punk/2-tone

Definitely possible, and in progress actually. I'm having a lot of trouble with the guitar, as it was recorded direct and i don't have much in the way of plugins to process it properly. Just the amp simulator built into cubase, really.

    Ska/Punk/2-tone

Hey all, I used to frequent here and haven't been around for a long while. Finally back to making music, so I'll be around a lot more. Just figured I'd pop in and post up what I've been up to. I'm playing drums for Rubber City Hooch, a ska/punk band out of Akron, Ohio. We did some live...

    mackie mr5's

sweet, thanks guys. I had heard a pair before quite a long while ago and quite honestly liked them over everything else in the price range, but don't remember exactly how they sounded, and will probably check them out in store again if i get a chance but after reading all the great reviews i...

    mackie mr5's

I know this is an incredibly old thread, not to mention being one i started, BUT Anyone care to chime in? As my ears are developing a little more, and I'm recieving feedback on my mixes, I think it's time to move up from crappy pc surround speakers. The mr5's are juuuust about as much as I want...

anybody tried an Alesis io26 ?

i've got one, the pres sound pretty nice, though not amazing. running with a pentium dual core as well on winXP sp2. i've had her for a couple years now and she hasn't fed me any issues yet.

    3 New Tunes

cool cool. thanks greg, and nothing to be sorry for. But really no low end presence? that's surprising as it's sounding pretty bassy where i'm at. I'll have to work on that.

Do you start "producing" your song before it's done?

I'm actually quite the opposite with this. I find that I'm harder on myself and tend to think my mixes sound like crap at first. then I give them a few days and realize they're better than I thought. On a second note, I usually start to mix after drums, guitar, and bass are in, but before the...

On My Own - Greg_L original clusterfuck

this is true, and i don't really need a guitarist/vocallist/bassist for mine, but it's always fun either way. whichever way you decide.

On My Own - Greg_L original clusterfuck

good stuff greg. good drumming as well. on a side note, would you be interested in doing a collab? i'm a sucker for some punk, but since the scene is dead around here there's nobody to jam with. I'd be happy to lay down some drums for your stuff
