    Capture website sound... how to?

Windows 7 does have it, called Stereo Mix, under recording devices...have to right click and check show disabled devices, then you can right click and enable it. As for how to use that directly as an input for your DAW, I haven't figured that out.

    Website thoughts?

thx a lot once again...im not running a commercial studio, just starting up as a business and looking to do mixing and mastering for paying clients from home. Working on a wordpress site now, will prolly have it done tomorrow or the next day, depending on how much else I end up having to do in...

    Website thoughts?

thx miro, that's the kind of input I was looking for. I actually setup the wix site after I paid for hosting. I had previously designed a wordpress site on a free host. Bought the host trying to upgrade the old free site, but it turned out to be a whole new host...idk how that works. But...

    Website thoughts?

Ok, so I got a webhost and setup a site for my mixing/mastering company that I'm starting up. Webhost is paid, but at the moment I have it setup to redirect to a nice looking site I made on wix. I just kinda liked the look I could get on wix better, although I can also easily set something nice...

For those of you who mix and master for paying clients

To those of you who mix/master as a job/business for paying clients...I'm curious what the most common questions you get asked by clients are...the kindof things you could put on a FAQ page besides pricing and how long it takes. Anyone feel free to chime in.

Pro Tools mixing vs Logic mixing?

Used Reaper for a long time, currently using ProTools...right now I prefer ProTools. As for choosing between ProTools and Logic, I can't give any suggestions since I've never used Logic.

Do you mix/master with headphones or studio monitors?

Currently using headphones, but only for 2 reasons... 1. I don't currently own monitors 2. I live with friends and all the PC's are in one room, so I pretty much have the headphones on all the time when I'm at my PC BTW, the last few mixes I've posted in these forums were mixed completely on...

What eats up a lot of your DAW RAM?

    yea, I have 8G and don't think I've ever saturated mine either...but I guess I'd have to say plugins/sends

Honest feedback on singing voice? (Again...)

i agree with all of the above...i know both of these songs, and i think the pitch and tempo of the backing tracks is correct so that's not the issue. Didn't notice too many timing issues...issues I heard were mainly in pitch(being off key) and lack of range...but as everyone else said, those...

    "No Air Nowhere"...Say that 10 times fast...:D

lmao @ "breaded garbo" ...you could switch it out for "shredded carpet" and it'd still sound alright hahaha. Anyway, I rather like it...enjoyed the listen. At first I though vox needed to come up more, but after listening a bit, I think they sit well.
