Hello All! Recommendations for an online place to order a few flat rubber belts? I'm looking for belts to fit my Tascam 488, and 488mkII recorder. "Cut" the belt measures 8 1/2 inches minus 5-10% for stretching and roughly 1/8 inch wide.

Yeah, I saw that on the bay. Couple of things. I'm sure it's a fantastic unit , but I probably don't NEEEED another 4 track recorder at the moment. However, If I didn't have a few already, this would be a great model considering all of it's features.

Very Cool. I've seen these for sale online before, but not too often. Very nice that it has Phantom Power, I'd always thought the Tascam 488mkII was the only cassette based Multitrack with it. The Eq Section looks great too. I assume this is a 4 track unit?

What I try to do when removing the plastic retaining washer is: While lightly holding one finger on top of it, use a mini flat head screwdriver and pry it up just past the groove on the metal post. Slowly lift your finger and grab the washer with a set of Tweezers and set it aside in a safe place.

Definitely the tires. Super easy fix. 5bucks on ebay. or try cleaning them with windex or rubber renew, tho i'd just replace them. They're cheap enough. Might as well spend 12.95 on a new pinch roller too and be done with it. You'll be good to go.

Embarrassing to ask this (I cant remember) A while back I acquired a Teac 2340sx a while back and the front has 2 - 1/4 inch headphone outs for "Front" and "Rear" what "splitter" or what do I need to use to hear this as a single jack? Like a regular Tascam Portastudo has. Maybe a 2 male end to 1...
