Heh, I sure haven't yet. From the looks of it, my guess is that this board doesn't support it.
An administrator could conceivably script in the option, but it's not supported by vBulletin by default from my understanding.
I'll definitely post here if I'm wrong and I find out how, though. ^_^...
LOL! I couldn't help it! :D Though I'll probably not be using the component-to-coaxial conversion method. This RCA cable should be sufficient, though I may still tie it in with a coaxial connection if it's not long enough.
As for the webcast, it'll most likely be on my Justin.tv site on October...
Also, how about this copper-coated steel crap?
It says "Low Loss 18 gauge" in the description, but the "copper covered steel" part makes me nervous.

EDIT:
NM. I found a better one. :D ...Well, at least I think I did. Most RG6 cables marketed as 'low loss' are...
Sorry. I have to break my prior statement for a bit. :D
I just saw these guys on ebay. They're for keystone setups, but they seem to serve the same function.
Would getting a couple of these and sending multiple audio signals over one networking cable yield acceptable results? I don't know how...
Thanks Bobbsy!
That pretty much answers all my major questions for now. :D
I'll check back in with you guys later when the rigging is set up. Thanks everyone!

As for unbalancing, couldn't I just use one balun at the terminal end for unbalancing? The Z3003E, while amazing from the looks of it, would require some extra wiring and setup knowledge. :D
And if I were to do video, could I just terminate a standard low-loss RG6 cable with an RCA video plug...
Thanks Dave.
Heh, actually, I didn't mean to imply that I would be using it for video (though my mind is now full of extra possibilities, which means I might try it).
What I meant to ask is would it be possible to use the video BNC component of the balun I linked to for audio via a BNC-to-RCA...
Aaaanyway, to re-focus the thread, I'm close to ordering this balun, but I have just a couple more questions before I do so.
Being that the construction (shielding, performance, etc.) of patch cables is fundamentally different from backbone cables, I assume I may have to also order some...
Hurmph. By the lack of responses, I take it that nobody knows. :D
Well, at any rate, if there is a way to do a strikethrough, please PM me or let me know here. Thanks guys!

Haha, agreed. Chill, guys. :laughings:
From my understanding, science and experience are often at odds, since it is so hard to take all factors into account when performing calculations and applying established theories. At the same time, if there is an odd experience, science should be able to...
Wow. I somehow missed the first post about using UTP networking cables to send A/V signals. Thanks, Dave and Bobbsy, for bringing this back up! :)
Suffice it to say, I do have a bunch of ethernet cables just lying around (as well as some RJ45 couplers), so using networking cables just might...
Thanks Lt. Bob. That's a good point. I guess this question was a bit more about how far I could push the whole DIY thing than saving money. :D
Well said.
True, I don't have much experience with mixers and audio equipment... yet. This is the first time I've ever had to plan out a whole audio...
Hi all!
So I've searched this forum and the vBulletin Forums for hours (or... well, it's felt like hours :D) to no avail! I'm also not sure if this is the correct section to ask this question, but it does seem like a newbie question.
Do the HomeRecording.com Forums support a strikethrough...
