I saw your post asking for an engineer. I also saw that you got in contact with a guy that would do it for you. I'm curious to know what the end result sounds like. I've recently finished my own home studio and have been working in a studio for some time mixing for the local bands. I'd like to start working on other people's work and wondered if you might send me some of your songs so that I might try mixing them. I'm not looking for payment, and I can only give you my word that my intentions are not to steal your work. The only thing I might ask is that I can use the end result (if you like it), as material to put in my portfolio so I can show other artists how my work sounds. I would also like to compare my finished product to the finished product of the person you hired. And lastly, if you like my finished product, use it for whatever you'd like.
