Zoom HD16 - Recording drums from midi input

Hi all, Recently accquired HD 16 and finding way around. I have a drum midi track from my PC playing through the HD16 and sounds perfect through the monitors attached to Hd16. How do I record this so I can use it as a rhythm track later on ?

I think is the same as recording as audio a drum pattern, if I remember well, you have to set input source to drum track and then assign one or two tracks for recording.

You could also import midi files into a project as a drum and bass track, manual says how to do it.
