Hi there, just wanted to share my new techno track titled "The chase." While I was working on this track, I kept picturing a "car chase" type movie scene...so I decided to name this track "the chase" :) Hope you'll like it!

Thanks :)

Hey Neal, thanks for listening to the track and for your encouraging feedback. I appreciate it. I used Pro Tools to make this track (I use an earlier version of Pro Tools) Looking forward to hearing your track as well. Thanks again!

Well i’ve very new and haven’t even got my setup to work yet hence joining here for some midi setup advice. I’m attempting to do it with a 1980s macintosh, roland module and samples ? so unlikely to manage your excellent level anytime soon or ever with my setup but i will try :) i’m really impressed with yours, i have a lot to learn.

P.s i do have newer equipment but i like the challenge and wanted to find a use for my old mac

Hey Neal, your setup looks great. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to electronic music production as well...I've only been making (maybe "practicing" is the right word) electronic music for a couple of years now. To make my tracks, I mostly use the stock virtual instruments/synths that came with my DAW...Really looking forward to hearing your tracks soon...I'm sure they'll be great. Thanks a lot once again for listening to my track!

Thanks for the kind confident words. I hope i can achieve half as good a track. Rob has been helpful as been having problems getting it all to work properly but each attempt i get one stage closer. I perhaps bit off more than i can chew trying to do it all on sure old gear but i’ve been listening to dance/trance/techo since the 90s so hoping that will help me be able to get something down within a few months. You have to start somewhere :)

I like it. I used to crank some techno back in the day on night shift. My only problem with it is the steady nob changing "beats" behind it. I have a short
attention span and if it gets to hypnotic and repetitious I have to bail. It goes great though working with CNC machining at night.

Hey dogooder, thanks so much for taking the time to listen to the track. I really appreciate your encouraging feedback. Yes, I agree with you on the beat being somewhat repetitive. I should have added some more variations to the track (especially where the first break section repeats again and it's exactly the same :)) I'm still learning the art of making smooth transitions between different sections where some changes happen to the beat (this is something I really struggle with and hope to fix with more practice) Thanks so much for your time!
