"Apollo 18", a mellow spacy original

Really cool - I hear a David Crosby influence - and somewhat of a George Harrison in the slide work.

hey thanks for listening papanate....
yea, CSN and CSN&Y would have been an early influence for sure,
those guys, those harmonies, i guess on this song, i kinda did the same thing with the harmony guitar parts.

i should practice my slide more, that's for sure... but harrison is one of my favorites for clean slide parts. he had a great style that i really dig.

Hi
Nice Ambience & sounds a bit Pink Floyd Wide Sounding Guitars

THANKS for the comments subvibe!
yea, sub bass, sub vibe, sub. heheh
that actually would NOT be a bad idea...i may play with that,
cuz i have some synth tones that would totally fit that idea.

i didn't want drums in this, just like you listen to something like, zep's IV album, they've got two songs that have no drums...
and hell, they had the best rock drummer in the world to use!!
heheh, but this was part of a collection of songs on an album, where they sit on the album
it' makes total sense that there would be no drums at this point.
this song followed a bombastic prog rock tune,
and is followed by a modern blues,
so having a number with no drums gave a totally different perspective to the song in front, and the one in back.

that was the reason for it being drumless...
but yea, a sub bass here and there, almost like a 'space' tone, a pulse, that comes and goes,
that sounds kinda neat!
