It is an amazing sound but to be clear without being run through a leslie they are pretty blah... Laurence Hammond hated the fact that people were hooking up these damn Leslies to his amazing invention...In the end that marriage made him a very wealthy man and put his precious invention in a league of it's own.

I'm no keyboard player, but I've been messin' 'round on this little Nektar mini keyboard I recently got - using the B3-Leslie VSTi this thread is about.
I'm right-handed and I've got the keys on my left (...??? go figure). I dropped an mp3 of an old band song into Reaper and have been playing along with it. Since the keyboard is only 25 keys I switched the octaves and now the B3 has a mellow, lower and fuller sound - and the Leslie really blends everything nicely.
I'm going to jam along until I get a part down, then record the B3. Then I'll start writing replacement parts for the other instruments until I get a version of my own.
It's sumthin' to do..
