My XLR cable doesn't fit my Behhringer C-4. I'm am a noob so this maybe be an esay fix but thought I would ask for help.

There's some variation between different brands of XLR and mics. Some can be a little tight. I vaguely recall that Neutrik cables gave me trouble on some mics. What brand of cable is it?

Yeah, maybe try a different brand. I'm sorry you've had this trouble, but you aren't the first.

I've experienced a few very tight XLR connectors in the past. It happens from time to time.

Has it got the correct amount of pins to sockets?

Every time you go from brand to brand there are mismatches. Most seem to be where the gap between male connector outside diameter and female connector inside diameter ( not the pins) is too loose, and you don’t even notice it, apart from catches that make a poor fit, but a few thousandths too tight and you’re stuck. Always worth having a short xlr-xlr handy to use as an extension, which usually solves the problem. Take a couple of photos close in if you want confirmation it’s just bad luck and not a faulty connector.
