I just made this kick ass song this morning or test clip, but I'll let you decide what to say :D

again, you're a couple days late for halloween ;) i liked that, particularly the pulsating synth part underneath - it pushes to the front near the end. what do you record into, and is that a stock VI or your own synth?

An electronic tune. Every time I think I've got you pinned down, you come up with something completely different. You're a man of many moods Phil! Is this a quickly, or were you planning to develop it? My take would be that the various parts are all forward in the mix and are competing with each other. I'd drop some of the synth parts into the background and try to create more of a landscape with a 3D depth to it, some parts closer, others more distant.

The reason I made it was because during October I watch all my favorite Horror movies. Those 80's movie soundtracks are so cheesy yet epic at the same time LOL. It's never too late for a horror movie, buddy! It's just some VST synths. I looked up what they used back in the day for making those soundtracks and found a bunch of free VSTs. So, fun times. Then I just used my midi editor and humanized it. I don't have any midi controller or anything :thumbs up:

Well I was actually thinking about trying to combine that 80s soundtrack music with metal to make some one off cheesy new genre of music. LOL. I just started with this little clip, but I'm still not sure if I'll do much more. If I can figure out how to make it sound right then I might do more :D

Lol great tune phil, the pic is perfect. Not late for halloween andrushkiwt just really early haha

Mixwise I'm useless. Electronic just always seems to mix well it seems like. Or people who do electronic are just a lot better than I am, I'm on the fence.

i think i know what you're saying...most electronic music, to me, sounds listenable. either it's been mixed very well or synth stuff comes out more "ready" than other instruments. but yeah, this sounded real good Phil
