Hello Everyone, i'm Frankie and i'm just starting my home recording experience :) It looks like this forum is a place to grow and share !!

Hi there
my name is nicholas and am new to this forum and hoping to learn something re: home recording and avoid wasting money on gear that is wrong for what i am looking for (hope this forum gives me the knowledge to make the right choice first and good idea how to get best results

Hi thanks I am new here. Have invested in a keyboard, guitar, microphone, and need to do research before I impulsively buy random "Recording Interface" and DAW(s). At this point I am not even sure whether or not I should get another computer more specifically built for making music.

Anyways I am going to research for the next few days, and try to boil things down to the most specific questions.

Send me a quick message if interested in offering direct tutoring/Q&A
Reciprocation yes: I feel this would be more efficient and personalized to individualistic needs VS attending classes, but that is just my opinion.

Anyways thanks!!!

Welcome Max.

There is tons of information here regarding your questions. Make sure to read the 'stickies' in the pertinent forums. You will save money by taking in the honest advice from real users. Not manufacturers giving advice to sell product.

Hi my name's Sonya I'm new and nervous about posting my voice. For some reason I feel like it's going to somehow magically be uploaded to my Facebook when I upload it on here haha. Has that ever happened to anyone or is this site very confidential? Haha I just want to be 100% sure before I post my voice!

You are very safe here. At best, you will get some great advice on breathing, control, and performance. And then we'll talk about your voice. :D
Be prepared for some joking, and some fun, a lot of good advice, and whatever else you're looking for. I've never seen anything I or anyone else has posted end up anywhere they did not want it.

Naw, most everyone here is in the same boat. We are all trying to improve our recordings before anyone hears it. What happens in HR stays in HR. Well, unless you post it outside of here yourself.

And yes, be prepared for some humor and honest comments from others. Many long time experienced members get bored and like to lighten things up at times. These also tend to be the ones that will never lie to you about anything. The best advice to learn from is the honest stuff.

Welcome to the forum LucyLou.

Hi everyone, I'm Roger. I'm a long time guitar player and thought I'd try my hand at a little songwriting. Just getting into home recording and I have a lot of questions! Looks like the right place.

Hello there!
I'm Paul, I've been messing about with playing and recording music for a while but I'd like to start improving the quality of things...
I joined this site when I was 17, nearly ten years ago, and get a happy birthday email every year. as I'm off work at the moment with my hand in bandages I thought it would be fun to get involved here finally

Another Brit. We are taking over the place..:thumbs up:

Then what the fuck makes yall's teeth so jacked up? Is it the rampant inbreeding? Just bad genetics?

I'd love to sit here and chat all day but I don't want to get another warning from teh admin for my misplaced sense of humour... You'll have to check out the reality or otherwise of that yourself.:)
