Nice desk for sure but I'm a slob by nature. I think on my desk, I've got maybe a total of 8 inches of desk space you can actually see.

Give him some time!
He just finished the desk and has yet to use it but hopes to do so this weekend.
He is studying Recording/Production/Music Business at Berklee so time is somewhat limited.
However, it looks like doing Homework is going to be FUN!

He has taken my 2005 "$80" Desk Design and "modded" it many levels above what it is spec'd to be.
One of the nicest Builds I've seen thus far.
