If you can look at the drawing, I think I have included the information required to provide feedback, if not please ask.

Room is approximately 12 x 10 in the recording area. Walls are drywall with insulation between concrete and wall.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Anyway you can move your desk area to where the couch is? Your placement for desk/monitors (one in the corner) is not good - I had the same basic set up, and the bass build-up in that corner/adjacent wall from one speaker was not good. Are your 'treatments' going to be 4" thick (or thicker)? get them in the corners on either side of the bookcase, and in the corner where your right monitor is, too.

I was thinking two inches thick with spacing about two inches or more from the wall. They would be suspended from the ceiling.

On the desk/monitors, I think that is a good suggestion and will move it.

On the bookshelf, I couldn't get anything in that corner so I thought I would hang them in front of the shelf, near the corners when actively working on recording or mixing. Once again, suspended in front of the bookcase.

Everything I've read indicates you really need to have bass traps at 4" thick (or more) to efficiently work. Clouds and broad wall treatment can be 2".

OK, take a look here: Bass Traps in Red: Also note, they are only ~1 foot wide as that is all the space I have between the bookshelf and the wall, bot sides.

That looks like it'll be an improvement. Consider doubling up your corner bass traps (one on top of the other). I'm constructing mine today at 3'9" tall each, so I can stack 2 and fit under the ceiling height.

Since I will be hanging the treatments in front of the corners (about 2 foot in front of the corners in front of the bookshelf), would that help the bass treatment?

If your traps are only 1 ft wide, hanging them 2 feet in front of the corners would mean about a 6" gap on either side? I'm pretty sure you need your traps to span the whole corner, or sound waves will escape.

I changed the layout to make them all 2'x4'x4".
