And I did read this entire thread before posting at all. It was intriguing, which is what compelled me to post in the first place.

That's fair. I personally don't care if, what, when, why, or how you post. It's not my place to tell you what to do at this site. Like I'd never tell you leave this thread. That's just ridiculous. Without re-reading myself, I don't think I ever tried to tell you're wrong. I just thought your initial points were safe, generic, and vague. A lot of people here say basic things just to throw their hat into the ring without actually having to stick their neck out. I get into a lot of "debates" here and they never go anywhere and I lose interest.

Now you're resulting to schoolyard tactics. I can do the same. I'm actually sticking my tongue at you while writing this.

I stated earlier that you seemed intelligent based on your previous posts in this thread. Don't be mad because I turned your own words and ideas around on you. You're better than that. This is part of the debate. You went from one idea with a supporting example to, basically, you're stupid, I don't care.

I'm just trying to get you to examine your ideas in a new light, just like you were doing with me. No insults necessary. Like I said, yours, along with other's posts made me adjust my opinion, until recently.

I was actually replying to your "find me someone" post above.

Ah, more generic scripted responses. Handbook responses. Yes, I must be mad. You turned this all back on me! Lol. Okay then. You are the masterdebater. :laughings:

Look, you went from, I have this opinion, to this example, to you're cliche... stupidity... blah, Blah whatever, I don't care. Why the sudden change in tone? Answer the questions from my post before this turned childish. On both our parts, so my apologies.

So who am I to question you? I'm the guy whose opinion you challenged.

Did I actually challenge your opinion though? Did I call you stupid? Again, I haven't re-read the thread myself. I think I even agreed with you on something. Maybe I was agreeing with someone else. My issue with your opinion is more that it isn't even really an opinion. It's just a generic statement. And that's fine. I don't deny your right to feel the way you do. I don't know why you'd want to change the way I feel the way I do.

Okay friends. Let's shut the useless banter down and get back on topic.

You follow the cliche logic of mass acceptance and I think that's stupid and insecure. If you think you have the formula for what makes a good song or bad song, then knock yourself out. I don't care.

You inferred it. But I'm actually not offended. I'm amused that it somehow turned to this. Like I said, let's get back to an intelligent debate, because unlike you admitted, I am open to different ideas.

Yes, I know my original opinion might seem generic, but that was the one thing I think everyone was missing in this thread. That's what compelled me to post. Sometimes people miss the simple things on their way to building up their complex argument. Not a reflection of their intelligence, just got caught up.

So, let's simplify the question/s. Why do you write the song's that you write? For your own appreciation? Or is there another reason?

I'm starting to get this quote thing down from my phone... I think.

You inferred it.
No, you inferred it. Inferring is what the receiver of the implication does. But I wasn't implying that you are stupid, even though you inferred it.

But I'm actually not offended. I'm amused that it somehow turned to this. Like I said, let's get back to an intelligent debate, because unlike you admitted, I am open to different ideas.
And like I said, my ideas have already been laid out - if you want them. I don't know why you want me to keep repeating myself. But I'll play along nicely if you really want this. I wanna go to bed but I'm just not tired yet.

I agree with that. I didn't think that was happening here though. I don't think anyone here is some million dollar songwriter, but we're not all rank n00bs either.

So, let's simplify the question/s. Why do you write the song's that you write? For your own appreciation? Or is there another reason?
No reason other than my own amusement.

Well, at least it's a post and not a person.... :p

Doh, I thought this was the joke thread. Okay, back on topic. in 3... 2... 1

How's the voice of authority thing working for you Chilli?:)

This thread does need to get back on point. Sorry about the doody head comment. It wasn't directed at anyone really. Poo poo was the point. :)

The two guys that got scolded are the only one's actually back on topic. :laughings:
