That link just goes to a blank black screen for me, Paul.

great job there paul BTW

Happy Birthday,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i've forgotten now,,,,, Bobbsy that's it!

Happy Birthday Bobbsy :D (can i have my free mic now sir please sir!)

Bobbsy is quite old enough already and does not want another birthday 4 months too soon. At my age small things like that become important!

You might try wishing Witzendoz a happy birthday though, even though he supports the wrong Aussie Rules football team. Go Lions! (Though with the present standings, it's more a case of "gone Lions" alas.

(now can i have my free mic!) :D

Where in Wales are you from, Jiff 41? My wife is a North Wales lass from a small village outside Llanrwst and still thinks of that as home even though she's spent the majority of her life in Australia. On top of that, my daughter (from my first marriage) went to university in Bangor and fell in love with the area...she's trying to find work there to move back.

Oh that's right, this thread was to wish me happy birthday LOL we have got off track a bit, THAKS ALL!! oh and where is my free mic moresound LOL,

And bobbsy, I remember the power house lions of old and the 3 consecrative grand finals, our local paper had a "where are they now" today on Jason Akamanus (did I spell that right?).

It's about time poor old Fremantle had some wins, I have been a member since day 1 and it has been a painful journey, now we have Ross the Boss coaching and I feel a lot better about things.

Alan.

I'm down south in Carmarthen,it's more a farming community down here, most of the music action happens in Swansea 30 miles east of us, although i notice lately that more pubs are starting to put gigs on lately with bands!!.
I love it up north(Wales i mean!) worked a bit up there beautifull area!
My son emmigrated to Sydney a couple of years ago as a paramedic & we went over for a month, far too short coz we really loved it & were going to go back the following year, but his wife's mother died & she wanted to come back!! so we never made it!
i think the welsh always think of Wales as home, i have a mate from Carmarthen who lives in OZ,& all he does is talk about this place, he even set up a page on facebook,& is on it every day.

Where IS Alan's free microphone? Inquiring minds want to know!

Your choice of wording describing the Lions as a "power house" reminds me that we have a good (if totally loopy) friend who moved from near Adelaide to near Perth recently--and still supports Port Adelaide. I wonder what her life expectancy would be if she goes on too much about The Power in a Perth (or Fremantle) pub or stadium?

Jason Akermanis BTW...and, from some of the press he's had around here, we may be better off NOT knowing where he is today.

If he supports Port Adelaide I would keep very quiet about it if in a Freo pub. In fact you usually have to keep quiet about it an Adelaide pub LOL.
