Long story short, I am having a hell of a time tracking guitars for myself. How many of you reamp or send out your DI tracks to be reamped by pros?

How are you having a hard time.
What seems to be the problem exactly. The mic? The amp? The recording level? The software? The playing? More details please so we can help out

I always wanted to try re-amping, and I have all the re-amp tools....but I just never bother to do it. 
For leads, I tend to save them for last, so at that point I know exactly what tone I want, so I set it at tracking, and no need to re-amp for it later.
For rhythm guitar(s)...I do them after the drums, but as the song progresses, and I find the rhythm tone is not working, I just re-track the rhythm guitar(s) and move on.
I like building the song as I go during tracking. I don't want move forward to the mixing stage and at that point start auditioning guitar tones....but some guys like to work that way, so go with your preferred SOP.

This issue is sound based, but I think it may be how I set up the amp rather then how I am mic'ing. I am enlisting some professional help, lol. Found a local studio that does reamping, going to record some DI tracks bring gear and work through my issue, learn about reamping and other stuff, see if I can get traction on this tricky thing. I will update shortly.

I don't reamp a lot but when i have done it it's been a life saver. i always take a DI feed just in case and usually i don't ever need to use it.

Well, I went to the studio and it seems the tone issue I am having may be guitar related (dark sounding) so I am going to work on tracking some additional guitars and bring a bunch of stuff to work through.
