It's a saying we have round here with people who want to put verb and delay on everything. Sometimes dry is good its a feeling so don't try to make it an fx.
there aint no saying around here...silly rabbit... Trix are for kids!! But I still don't believe your terminology. Dry is never a feeling. It may evoke a feeling.... but, that's ok, I understand your point. ........silly rabbit !

sorry for newbie-itis. I'll get the hang of it.....NEVER !! :-D

Ummm what????? Someone forgot to take his meds. Sometimes I don't like putting fx on the things cause Iike the "feeling" I get when I hear raw sounds so yes it is a feeling me. Umm of course the terminology wouldn't apply to u, ur not from here lol.

i'm funning with ya.. Actually I am on meds...staying at home these last couple days, not feeling so hot, hence my increased posting today. Look at my join date...I've been sick for a loooooong time and my puny post count is probably almost all in the clinic. I'm just on the MP3 clinic, 'witness" program

naw...I know what you mean... oh wait... naw.... I don't like dry martinis either.

but...I DO wash my clothes in reverb....nice and wet.

bonus points.....Do you know what a Trix Rabbit Wing-ding is?

Cool guitar work and drumming on this, Rami. Mix sounds well balanced here on my V6s.

'''' Look at my join date...I've been sick for a loooooong time and my puny post count is probably almost all in the clinic. '''

Look at yer location - that explains it better'n anything.

Anywho sounds great to me RAMI. Sounds a bit like amped up Metallica. And Led Zep too in that one little riff. Some Rush too. But mostly it's RAMI.

wow...great song. I think I said something in another thread that this is like the "Machine Head" version...and if it was you, you know what I'm saying. Weird sound on the lead guitar at 3:18...like a comb filtering or a stopped flange effect. Intentional?

I think you said you prefer the dryer, more "studio" approach....and me coming from another background I suppose, hear this as a killer, balls to the walls, political statement that would make Joan Boez and Bob Dylan proud. Thunder guitars and drums with great timing between the instruments.

I'd love to hear the live version at 115dB Good job!
Thanx a lot Mix. I don't hear the comb filtering or anything else in the part you're talking about, so obviously it wasn't intentional. I'm doing a bend on one of the guitars. Maybe it just bends weird and sounds comb-filtered, but I definitely didn't try to make that happen, if it is happening.

Sounds great to me. I like the snare sound cause its a different sound. Dry is a feeling not a fx.
Thanx a lot Janm.

Ah, the final version... nice.

If it were me I'd pull the drums in a touch, and I'm getting a definite "did he mean to do that?" moment at 3.02 where I think the volume on the rhythm guitar drops a bit much. The snare? Not my area of expertise but I'm with the others on adding a bit more actual snare sound (probably a bit hard now, hey!) or perhaps top end to it and I'm not a huge super dry snare person. But these are all minor taste nits...

Top song and I love the complexity of it all.. good stuff RAMI. :thumbs up:
Thanx a lot Armi. Yeah, I have to bring the drums down, I just haven't got around to opening the project to do it. Again, I don't hear the volume drop you're talking about. It's about the third song of (or at least the second) where you mention a rythm guitar drop at some point in my songs. I wish I heard it, but I don't. In this song, where you say it drops, the whole "band" is doing a 32nd note climb, that's about it. Thanx a lot for the comments, bro.

I'm only listening on small phones at work, hardly ideal conditions, so if no-one else has mentioned it, I could be imagining it!

lol, i was jk kiddin mixmkr you know I got alot of respect for ya! put ya in the same book as RAMI. Hope you get well. Yea you know how it is verb this, verb that, delay this, distort that. Sometime your just wanna hear what a snare sounded like or a kick sounds like straight from the board little EQ and boom done ya know?

Sorry guys I been on like, this "Mixing Hippe" :guitar: style thing lately. Being in the business for 9 years now. I have been just FX'd out. just tired of it. I forgot what real drums sounds like shit. Lately I just track well, gain stage well, a EQ here and there maybe, panning and thats it and receiving a great sound and results. Its almost as if when I reflect back on some of my mixes, and school, and interning and all those years and its like wow I didnt have to do all that to get a great sound all I had to do is this and its sound perfect. Its almost like a different challenge.

Anyway, how do you load mp3's on here? Whats the best way jimmy? (cant believe im asking the PC guy for advice but whatever! lol)

I think you still have to copy a URL of where you have it on the internet somewhere as the site doesn't let you embed files thru their server...even though it gives that impression describing it above somewhere that you can.

Use Soundcloud, SoundClick, etc. All free...dump your file their and then copy/paste your URL in your post. SoundCloud gives you the groovy looking wav file, but realize if you navigate off the page, the music stops playing. That's why I like links that bring up an additional page to play your file.

thx for the words too.... be blessed.

no..it's a nice thing. But that was a funny thought and you see it all the time.

Btw... I looked at the above stickies, and apparantly you can add a mp3 attachement.... however I don't really recall seeing people do it and I never have...which means nothing.

if you bless yourself...isn't that like [guitar] masturbation?

I've blessed myself in the shower so often, I'm surprised a baby hasn't crawled out of the drain yet.

But I digress...........

Very cool RAMI,
I was a little nervous about "drive me nervous" when I read it but it sings really well.
I'm in the more snap on snare camp I think.
The tempo is terrific and the rhythm section should be used to right the tower in Pizza.
Vocals are as near to perfect as can be had.
