iZombie - How's it sound?

So you're just working from one beat track plus the vox and misc. noise tracks?

Was that Charlie from It's Always Sunny? Probably not the most credible person to support your claims! :D

Mix sounds decent. Everything seems to be coming through clearly.
 
Right, one beat track then vocals and cuts (scratches). Yes, it was, a DJ through handled that, I just set the levels. Chorus dynamics solid enough? Thanks
 
I love this track. I wish the vocals moved more. They have the same energy throughout the song. Love the lyrics and melody though. The levels and tone are great.

What do you mean "moved more. They have the same energy throughout the song?"

Is it a mixing issue, or my delivery you have some suggestions about?
 
This is very good. There is a constant kind of fake guitar sound that grates like a mosquito and fights the vocal. The vocal is very good. It would be nice for the fake guitar to stop for most of the song (well all of it really) and be replaced by a real guitar section with much more expression.

Like the message of the song... nothing worse than sitting in a bar with a bunch of smart phone addicts.

Thanks, I agree, I wish I could change the beat, but I can't (original session lost). And agreed, the scenario you mentioned is one of the inspirations for the song.
 
I plan on cutting out a few bars of the beat here and there to cut down on the repetitiveness of the instrumental.
 
Really the delivery. The mix is good. The song feels a little stagnant because the chorus has the same energy/power as the verse.
 
This is pretty good. things are coming through nicely. Nothing seems to be mudding up anything else. Good Job. Nice flow too.
