^this guy have a "Mucho loco Henry Arriba" signature lol hey what's ale? Around here in Brooklyn we drink 40's jeje. Oh yeah the mics they all sound exactly the same. All condenser sound the same all dynamics sound the same. Same goes with preamps. It's all about the source. The rest is range, visual, feel, looks, quality.. IMHO Of course. An yes sorry about my English skill set. Not American.
 
More alcohol in an ale. Drink one 12oz. ale will get you dizzed better that a 40oz. JeJe. ;)
 
I don't idea why this guy spends lots of money on something he doesn't even need. He is like making a few useless videos and then selling the microphones that he kept for awhile. Might as well give me the microphones. :D
 
More sound I was just kidding. I like Smith and Adams Sam that is. But I am with the 40's too :D
 
I see this question a lot. To me it is the genius and the monkey question. Give both a computer and see what you get. The computer is the same. It's the monkey and the genius that makes the difference. And you would never buy a computer using the monkey's work as a guideline. So here's how to buy the right mike. Take a great GREAT singer in with you. (I don't care how goo you think you are, take someone who is great with you. (You cannot judge your own voice.) Let them try out a lot of mikes through the same system. Most stores have one set up; I know Guitar Center does. Then when you hear the mike that works best (maybe two or three) You try them and then select one. I have found that most singers don't like the mike when it really is their voice as recorded that they don't like. This way you know you have a great mike and you can work without fear that your mike is the problem. Next get a preamp with an adjustable impedance knob like the Focusrite Twin Track Pro. You would be surprised how great an SM 57 can sound. Good luck.

Try to find Wachusett's *Green Monster* it's made in Mass. - Good stuff.
 
57's and 58's are supposedly so durable that one can use them as a hammer. And still work!
