I have a pair of Shure SRH440's and they are brilliant for monitoring and mixing due to their flat frequency. Sennheiser HD25's can't go wrong with those either!
i own a pair of sony mdr7506 and a pair of sennheiser hd 280 pro. both are used for recording tracks, and listening to v drums. just bought my first vocal mic so i was thinking would it help getting a pair just to record vocals? budget wise i would like to stay under 2 hundred.
I use the AKG's for vocal recordings as they don't allow much to escape, I don't recall hearing my mix spilling into a vocal track while using them, they are also very flat sound-wise. If you hear a wart it's on the track and not the cans grunting. 2 hundred what? dollars, pounds, euro's, cents ?
