Full Cubase 6.5 to 7 is $149, but doesn't appear to be shipping despite what many online retailers are claiming. I have the backorder and cancellations to prove it.. :-)

Cubase 7 isn't going to be supported on OSX 10.6

LAME. I hate the new operating systems. :(

Cubase 7 is here today.

I have a band coming tonight so I opted not to upgrade yet though.

You should get up early in the morning, because you will have some laundry to do!

Just sayin...lol!

Last/best money I have spent on Cubase!

I must say, it amazes me, that Cubase/Steiny present all of their tutorial videos on a Mac system. They clearly state that their software is designed and marketed for PC users....

I suppose that PC users don't give a s**t, and users of Mac may be lured into the software that will soon remove their sub-standard DAW, and EveNtuAllYY TAkE OVER THE 'INDUSTRY STANDARD!!!!' MUAH HA HA HA!!

Lol! Who friggen cares.. :)

C7 so far, is a total blessing. The new mixer, and everything I have played with so far, is a huge step forward. I am in DAW heaven right now. :D

I love one someone is pumping the other DAW and the first thing they claim is "Its the industry standard". This reminds me so much when I go to a car dealership and they start telling me about their 5 star service dept.. :D

Yes, but he was joking. Were you as well?

Sort of.. :D

The term "Industry Standard" doesn't really mean anything in 2013 other than a marketing term. An effective one too. It plays on the persons fears that he won't be taken seriously if he doesn't use the "Industry Standard".

All of these movies (going back over a decade ) were composed/scored using Cubase.

Hans Zimmer - IMDb

That doesn't make Cubase the industry standard, it just makes the term meaningless as it relates to using a specific DAW.

In Cubase 7, is the mixer window still inside the main application window (like in 6, I have to have a non-maximised window stretched over two screens, with the project window on the left screen and the mixer on the right), or can it be maximised separately on a second screen, like in Reaper.

I believe it can be placed wherever and however you like. I posted a few videos in this thread the other day. I believe they address it.

thanks.

Mixer can be maxed on either monitor screen, irrelevant to project window size. Actually an option. :)

Great - thanks matey. I found that so annoying in 6. Might just have to try me an upgrade or trial or some such and see if I'm tempted back from Reaper (with which I'm having stability issues with Kontakt).

Double checked and I am not in the grace period. :( Looks like it will have to wait a while.
