Fuck,this morning I went through the drum track and copied/pasted all the tom hits to another track. That was long and tedious. It's definitely better, though. I'll post the new version tomorrow, but first I want to re-sing those 2 pitchy lines, and I just got home from work and don't feel like singing tonight.

I actually have enough 57's to mic all my toms, I just have to go out and buy 3 stands. That would be a lot less trouble than what I just went through. :D

I might take the plunger and become a close-micer. :eek:
 
I would never take it personally lol, but I hear you guys. Music these days is all filler like an all you can eat buffet. You get a large selection, and it's all pretty good, but not everything on the menu is your favorite :p

Yup. That applies to everyone's music. If someone doesn't like it, it's filler. :)
 
I don't like most music, not even most of my own music lol. Most of the stuff I really like they just don't do it like that anymore :p

Most def not in touch with today's music. I sometimes wonder why I even try to play music. I think just because it's kind of relaxing :D

Yeah, that's what it should be all about. None of us is going to get rich doing this, so for me it's just plain enjoyment. I don't know how people without a hobby and passion for something get through life.

I agree about today's music. Actually, I don't know what "today's" music really is, but if I go by the radio, even rock stations, it sucks. Not only today's music. In the last 30 years, there are maybe 2 bands I can say I like, and I can't even think of which 2 right now. :eek:
 
I agree with that. although I can think of a lot of bands from maybe mid-90s and as far back as you can think from there. Tons of music I love and just couldn't live without :D
 
OK, got around to "micing" my toms for this one. I'm so not used to having the toms "miked" that they sound too loud to me now. Let me know if I'm right or if I just got to get used to them more up front like that.

Its been a couple of months but I took a listen:

I always love your stuff, Rami, you make some kickass music and you are really proficient, both as a musician and engineer. I think I thought I heard a slightly out of time drum hit in the beginning, but that's being very nitpicky.

I should add this song to my playlist, totally something I'd listen to blaring on my sound system.

I'm trying to find where you're talking about. I think it's a bass drum hit in the intro, but I'm not 100% sure.
