Just got the Apogee One, and I couldn't wait to try it out! So here's a pop rock song I recorded in a few hours. Guitar is plugged directly in to the One; used the software drumkit included in Logic 9. Voice recorded with the One's internal mic.

Cool tune! Nice sounding vocals and guitars. The cymbals are pretty overpowering at times. Can you turn those down a bit?

Thanks! Really appreciate it! :D and ah I see, I'll get right to fixing that!

Wow... the things we can do with today's technology. Great job!

cheers

Overall the Mix ia a tad muddy, cymbals far too loud, Bring out the kick and snare more with high mid boost and low mid cuts.
Sounds pretty good for how you recorded it!!

The guitars are a bit fuzzy sounding, maybe re-record with a little less distortion or bring them down a little bit.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I know what you mean with the guitar, still experimenting with the sound I want :D Thanks for the advice :) Also, did I forget to mention I'm mixing completely on headphones?

Haha, nice one. That could be the reason why the cymbals are so dam loud maybe. :)
What headphones are you using?
Why are you not using any monitor speakers?

Ahah right now I'm using a pair of ATH-M30's. Haven't gotten a chance to properly shop for monitors yet. Also, don't have the most money right now :P
