Small Microphone for loud recording

Hello

I hope some one here can help me out i need a small microphone whit an 3.5mm jack
that can handle sounds from say concerts and so like and are not super expensive
or have some tips to dampen the sound for the cheaper microphones so its not so loud
and nosy/scratchy you normally get from a cellphone when you record loud sound hope
some of you understand what i mean im a complete novice in this so hope for some help ^^

You aren't going to find a good microphone that will connect via that 2.5mm jack. You could try a USB mic, I don't use them so I can't speak for the quality. My guess is that it's not great, but it will surely be better than a crappy 2.5mm jack.

My suggestion would be a small interface and a solid XLR mic like an SM57. The interface will give you better sound because it will handle the analog to digital conversion far better than the other options. With an interface you can use almost any mic you can find. The SM57 is a great all around mic and sells for about $100 but you can find them used for a lot cheaper.

Having to purchase an interface and a mic probably isn't what you want to hear, but if you want any kind of usable sound you should stay far far away from the mic input on a computer.
 
Sorry for the mistake i putted 2.5mm up there :S not what i did actually mean sorry about that i did mean 3.5mm
but i will take an look in to the SM57 :)

Yes it is what im trying to do cos i got an camera not the best one but the microphone on it cant handle that loud noises (GoPro Hero2) and that got an 3.5mm microphone jack on it
