Vocal record request

Hi there!

I have a rather unusual request..

Can somebody please record two sentences for me?

It should say:

"On January 24th Trinity Corporation will introduce Hologenerators. And you'll see, why 2012 won't be like 2012." (it's two thousand twelve, not twenty-twelve)

The voice (male, preferably US accent) should follow the same pattern, as the voice from the 1984 Apple commercial. I am not allowed to post URL links, so just put "1984 apple commercial" into youtube..


It's for a school project and I do not have the equipment nor the vocal capabilities.

Just to clarify...how should we say the "2012" parts? are they BOTH said "two-thousand twelve"? Or just the first or second one?
 
Also, is hologenerators pronounced like "Hollow-generators"?

Yep, both of them are "two-thousand twelve" and the pronunciation of "hologenerators" is even for me a little bit unclear, but I think "hollow-generators" will do the trick!

I assume the comma after 'And you'll see' is a typographical error.... :rolleyes:

Yes, it is still a typographical error, but the comma is to emphasize the pause which the announcer uses in the original Apple commercial.
 
And why do I need this you ask? (I know you did not ask, but I want to explain anyway :) )

Well, the reason is quite simple - I want to recreate the original 1984 Apple commercial. Almost everything will remain as it is in the original ad, I will just change the text, those two sentences and the final logo. I really digg oldschool and classical stuff and I want to show to my schoolmates that even if this ad has almost 20 years it still can be very interesting and amaze you like it amazed audience back in 1983. But I need to change minor details so it will correspond with the class assignment..

(also I am sure I will receive some sarcastic, "funny" and "hip" comments because somebody will just not get it..)

Well, maybe not a pause per se, but the guy in the ad puts more emphasize on the "won't BE" part and drags it a little bit.

But I think it really dunn matter now, because I have the recording from guitaristic and it's superb!
 
So where in the world are you from PaulieSR that an American accent is impossible for you?
 
Where do I mention that American accent is impossible for me?

I just do not have the proper equipment for recording (this should be regarded as the main reason) and the second reason is, well, frankly I do not like my voice that much... (some people told me, that my voice would even be fit for a radio, but I am somehow self conscious about my own voice when I hear it on a record)
