The 1st synth sounds a little cheezie.
The bass line has a lot of potential but it doesn't quite swing - I reckon if you replace that 1st synth & rerecord the bass line with a little more swing you'll have something good.

I think it's probably just a giant clusterf*k and I should delete the whole thing...

I only like the end really - I'm having some kind of artistic ennui crisis or something

I think it's got potential as a song arcadecko, but as far as the mix goes I reckon it's back to the drawing board unfortunately. It sounds pretty muffled and compressed overall and the rhythm guitar is too fizzy. I quite like the synth though and the vocals could sound better if less buried. It reminds me a little of Closer era Joy Division, which is a good area to be mining around as far as I'm concerned. Worth rebuilding.

It's a cool song, but all out of whack. You should compare it to one of your best sounding album in the same genre and try to get the instruments and vocals to sound like that.
